PPA seeks an early to mid career professional with a passion for theater, communication, and helping those navigating the justice system. This flexible, freelance, mostly remote work position reports to both the Artistic and Executive Directors.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
in collaboration with PPA staff, create and maintain a Marketing calendar to include overall scheduling of all marketing and communications e-blasts, newsletters, blog posts, social media postings, etc.
Create digital content for various PPA channels and platforms including: E-blasts, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Business, LinkedIn, and blog posts.
Ensure that all PPA marketing and communications adhere to PPA branding.
Manage PPA digital platforms and communication tools including: the website (hosted through Wix), Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, Vimeo, Twitter, Trello, Wufoo, Constant Contact, Canva, Google Drive, SocialPilot, and LinkTree.
Complete any and all forms or certifications mandated by the Department of Corrections to conduct their work.
Promote upcoming productions, events, and partners Monthly reconciliation of contact platforms (Constant Contact and DonorSnap)
Creation and management of periodic newsletter.
Occasional site visits to correctional facilities for performances, documentation, and familiarity with PPA’s work.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Strong belief in PPA’s core values, mission, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Minimum two or more years of experience in marketing and communications
Availability to meet regularly with PPA staff as needed via Zoom or in-person
Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Google Suite with an aptitude for learning new applications and database management.
Familiarity with above mentioned platforms preferred.
Must have access to reliable transportation, and comfort level with visiting various correctional facilities across the state.
Occasional availability evenings and weekends.
