The Kept Away Series is a collection of original monologues written and performed by the Alumni Theatre Company, comprised of returned citizens who worked with Prison Performing Arts during their incarceration. As they continue their artistic journey as writers and artists, Kept Away actors engage the audience with personal stories of incarceration and reentry. The series delivers a moving and often humorous look at what it means to move on after being 'kept away' and build a new life with family and community.
