Ashwini Kherdekar appointed as PPA’s Managing Director

We are thrilled to announce that Ashwini Kherdekar has been appointed as the Managing Director of Prison Performing Arts!
As a licensed Clinical Social Worker, Ash’s work has centered healing, self-discovery, and deep connection within groups. Ashwini has had a long career working with diverse, systems-impacted populations in a number of organizational settings, mainly in St. Louis and in New York City. She has two graduate degrees, one in Interpersonal Communication from New York University and one in Social Work from the City University
and one in Social Work from the City University of New York. When she is not working, Ash can be found performing in and producing local theater, or enjoying time with her spouse and two boys.

In this role, Ash will serve as the chief strategist for communications, development, finance, and operations at PPA. She will design, direct, and implement all aspects of PPA’s development efforts, including corporate and foundation giving, individual giving, annual appeals and campaigns, and special events.
Through a co-leadership model, Ash Kherdekar and Rachel Tibbetts (Artistic Director) will collaborate to execute the organization’s mission and strategic plan. In addition to her partnership with Rachel Tibbetts, Ash will work with Tyler White (Program Coordinator), Eric Satterfield (Production Coordinator), and the Board of Directors to oversee fiscal management, meet revenue goals, and support PPA’s core programs through communications and storytelling.
