Our Kind of Town is a tribute to Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, based on small-town living at Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green, Missouri. This is the story of a very different kind of "town," with a unique set of residents, one that exists at the pleasure of the state on a fifty-year land lease. The play features writing from the Spoken Word class at NECC and was written in collaboration with the artists.
